Hello World: My Roadmap to Large-Scale Backend & AI
🚀 The Mission
My name is Danny, a CS student based in Korea. My goal? To grow into a global software engineer — someone who can design and build systems that are reliable, massively scalable, and trusted by users all over the world.
I’m not just chasing titles or big tech logos. I genuinely love the craft of building things that work at scale. And to get there faster, I lean heavily into AI tools — not to skip the hard parts, but to move smarter and iterate quicker. Think of it as agile development with AI as a co-pilot.
Why This Blog?
Honestly? Because I learn best when I write things down.
Keeping everything in my head (or buried in Notion) wasn’t cutting it anymore. So I decided to put it out in the open — to document the process, share what I’m figuring out, and hopefully connect with people on the same path.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Growth logs — the progress, the stumbles, and everything in between. No highlight reel only.
- System design & build process — not just “here’s the final architecture,” but how I got there. The trade-offs, the dead ends, the “aha” moments.
- CS study notes — key takeaways as I work through core concepts, mostly using English resources.
Tech Stack of This Blog
This site is built with Astro, hosted on Vercel, and managed via GitHub. I chose this stack for its performance — near-zero JavaScript shipped to the client, with a developer experience that doesn’t make me want to quit.
